WINTOP Consulting Group used to be Washington International Tech-Group,Inc (WINTECHI) established from a merger of four small companies in Greater Washington DC area in 1996. The company has done technology transfer and management training projects between U.S. and China, involving telecommunication technology, trading in high-tech equipments, consumer electronic products and advanced agricultural technology. Our clients include U.S. IT companies, Chinese SOEs and private companies, and Chinese government agencies. In the learning process to understand China's specific business environment and gaining the first-hand experiences of the market, WINTOP has gradually become focused on management education and training for China's rising business community.
In 1999,a 15-person group of WINTOP was funded by Sylvan Learning System and Mr. George Soros to conduct a 12-city survey on China's education/training market, which marked the launch of WINTOP's China Management Training Initiative. Later, WINTOP members become involved with Apollo International, Inc, a subsidiary of Apollo Group, Inc., and the project has been funded and functioned as Apollo International's China Market Exploration Project from 2000-2001. In June 2002, while Apollo International withdrew from markets of China and Germany due to its own reasons, WINTOP took over the results of the two year project reparation, armed with the valuable experience learned from Apollo Group, established WINTOP Shanghai.
Today, WINTOP has teamed with a group of advanced management training content providers to bring the most needed management methodologies into China. The Certificate Program of the Technology of Participation (ToP®) Facilitative Leadership for Managers is one of the unique management tools that WINTOP carries exclusively in China.
